Imagine my surprise when I looked at part 2 of week 8 and the assignment was to explore a website from a list of award winners - which just happened to be the list I put in a blog post last week.
I had never thought to look for websites that help you learn a foreign language. One of the innovative ideas is that speakers of different languages can help each other.
This isn't on the list, but if you haven't checked out nbcolympics.com, you should try it. I think it's a good example of the limitlessness of online applications. I've been using it to watch events I've missed - you can also look at other viewers comments while you watch. They also have videos that explain the rules and scoring of unfamiliar events, bios of athletes, and more.
